WaveRider Trend:
-
This indicator identifies bullish and bearish trend strength.
- Trend strength is rated between 0-11 (đ¤)
- The indicator can be overlaid on the price chart, on top of another indicator.
- Viewing number scores is an optional setting.
WaveRider Volume Swings:
- This indicator shows volume strength at the daily (yellow), weekly (blue), and monthly (purple) timeframes.
- Above zero is bullish, and below is bearish.Â
- The green 'Composite' line factors in all these levels together as one.
- The Oscillator identifies trend exhaustion and potential reversals in price. A bullish (aqua-colored) move or a bearish (fuchsia-colored) move indicates a deviation from the mean trend zone (0-1).
- A simpler way to think about the Oscillator is that the fuchsia color indicates overbought conditions and the aqua color indicates oversold conditions.
- Price reversals tend to move most rapidly as the oscillator crosses over 0 or under 1. At these levels, the forces that have caused price to diverge are no longer dominant. As a result, the price can quickly begin reverting to its mean.
- The scale of the reversion is relative to the timeframe the oscillator is applied and says nothing about the prevailing price movement at higher or lower time periods.
- When an arch appears below 0 or above 1 it is only a matter of time before it crosses over or under these lines again. At this point, you may witness a "pop" in price, offering an opportunity to scalp trade or make a better guess at which way a critical level may break.
- Similar to price charts, trendlines can be drawn on the Oscillator to spot trend breaks and predict how long a move is likely to last. Utilizing trendlines in this way is highly effective and recommended.
Advance Usage:
- Stacking multiple Timeframes. Depending on your TradingView subscription you'll be able to stack a certain number of Oscillators on top of one another, merge scales and set each to a different timeframe.  This allows you to see when Oscillator moves occur together, which often leads to a larger, longer-lasting trend reversal.
Tips:
- Itâs better if you see the same Oscillator move stacked on multiple timeframes.
- Higher timeframes tend to be more powerful and longer-lasting.
- Itâs better if deviations appear as deep clean arcs in shape. Messy arcs suggest that thereâs no dominant force moving price, making it harder to predict future price trajectory.
- When stacking multiple timeframes we recommend setting each to a different color.Â
Extra features in settings:
-
You can reduce noise by increasing the EMAÂ length in settings. This improves accuracy but creates a lag.
- EMAs - An option to add an EMA fan (lengths 10, 20, 50, 100, 200) to the Oscillator.
- Ichimoku - An option to add an Ichimoku cloud to the Oscillator.
